Saturday 14th

Community Opera Chorus 
10am-12pm and 1pm till 4pm Stow Brae Kirk

How would you like to sing in the chorus of an opera being performed in Paisley Abbey on Sat 28th Sept? If you are free to attend this rehearsal then you can!
The opera is based on the life of Paisley’s poet Robert Tannahill and, if you would like to be involved, please email opera@tannahillarts.com for more information.

“Captain Noah”
12-1pm St Lukes Church

This choir work tells the story of Noah and his arc. The words are witty, the music is light-hearted, jazzy, and easily accessible.


RockUs Choir
2pm Stow Brae Kirk

Paisley’s most famous rock choir are performing to raise funds for Leukemia research. So why not come along and hear some familiar music in a friendly environment and support a great cause.

Doyenne Duo recital 
7.30pm The Wynd Centre

A classical duo comprising flute and piano arriving from San Diego in the USA presenting a wide variety of classical music


Tuesday 17th

Renfrewshire Community Gospel Choir open rehearsal 
7.30pm Life Church, Moss Street

A well established gospel choir give you the opportunity to hear them rehearse in the relaxed atmosphere of an open rehearsal. You may even want to join in, or consider joining as a permanent member of the choir.



Wednesday 18th

“My Scottish Heart” Evelyn Laurie & Friends
7.30pm Brew Cafe

‘My Scottish Heart’ is the premier performance of a set of Scottish traditional songs given a jazz twist by Paisley’s ‘jazz chanteuse’, Evelyn Laurie, and award-winning young pianist, Fergus McCreadie, with double bass and drums also in support.

Robert Tannahill will, of course, be represented!

The venue will be offering light refreshments and BYOB for a small corkage charge.

Or why not sample the range of teas and coffees this relatively new, but already award-winning, local business has to offer.

Thursday 19th
Open Mic Night
8.00pm Manhattans Bar

Paisley is well known for its culture of ‘open mic nights’. Thursday nights are hosted by Cat Caldwell. If you would like to hear what talented singers Paisley has to offer, or maybe take part yourself.




Friday 20th 

Voices of Paisley
8pm Callum’s Cavern

Some of the best vocalists Paisley has to offer brought together for one night. This event has a fully licenced bar. Entry is free

Children’s Story-Telling Workshop

The Campfire Club is a fusion of traditional storytelling, role-play and creative writing. Why not join them around their special indoor campfire to explore stories from around the world, and work together to create a tale of our own! The whole family is welcome.

“Cleek” - the movie 
7.30pm Stow Brae Kirk

A chance to see a film on the big screen shot in and around Paisley. An exciting thriller from local screen-writer Christina Littleson and director 
Gary J. Hewitt.
Jacob Cleek is a quiet, well presented artist, who keeps himself to himself, but Jacob has a secret, and when it starts to break the surface, he must do what he can to stop his world from crumbling.

Wednesday 25th
“Script to Stage” 
7pm Stow Brae Halls

Interested in theatre, writing, what goes on in rehearsals? Then come along to our Script to Stage night to see scripts turned into performance in front of your eyes! If you are a writer or want to be one, send in a script and get a chance of seeing your words come to life. An actor? Turn up and you could be cast in a role. If you are totally new to all this, come along and enjoy an exciting evening of rehearsal and performance in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

“Tannahill” the Opera 
7.30pm Paisley Abbey

The festival ends with a world premiere of a new opera based on the life of the weaver poet Robert Tannahill, featuring : a cast of professional opera singers, a community chorus and live ensemble.
